First MAJOR ISSUE is a very important consideration to be aware of and one that very few bathtub Liner installation contractors will do is when the bathtub has a previous refinishing coating on it, IT MUST BE STRIPPED OFF… Why?
The adhesive used to secure the liner to the tub, requires a clean sound foundation. Should the tub have a failed reglazing coating that is peeling off, then there is not a sound foundation for the adhesive.
