Broken loose tiles, here the homeowner had replacement tile. We removed the damaged areas and installed new tile and matched the grout.

Once the affected area was removed, cement board was installed to prevent this from happening again. We found the correct tile. Installed and then regrouted – sealed and the problem was taken care off without having to gut the bathroom, saving this client 70% over other quotes.
Poor grout allowed water to get behind the tile and destroyed the drywall.
After locating the correct tile for replacement. The tile problem was repaired.

Solution: remove the affected area and install cement board. Again after some searching we found a match. Another important note, using cedar shims, gave the top a 1/4″ slope for water runoff. I believe in not just fixing a problem, but how to avoid it from coming back as well.
