Acrylic tub took a hard hit. After filling the void with foam for a backer the area will be filled with a fiberglass gel and then polyester filler and blended

A plumber using a torch to remove the old water handles due to being seized and caused the Jacuzzi gel coat to separate from the tub. The damaged gel-coat separated and lifted.
We had to remove the damaged and loose gel-coat till we found solid attachment.

We use a water proof fiberglass filler for 90% of the fill which adds structure strength.
Then apply a water proof polyester filler and sand to the Jacuzzi contours. Once the fill works is completed, we apply TubPotion #8 Silane adhesion promoter to the surrounding area. Next the aesthetics are addressed.
Using stranded fiberglass the damaged area is filled in.
The color is match and applied using our blending technique. Once we have enough color applied the dry outer ring of the blend is melted in using our blending agent.
Completed Jacuzzi bathtub chip repair. Allowed to set up for 24 hours will be ready for use.
